Heart shaped box

Today's project is an altered heartshaped
Box, digging deep in my stash of paper I found the perfect vintage look for this box.  The hardest part is waiting for it to dry.

This is what I have so far, I still need to add ribbon lace and flowers and bling, who knows what it will look like when I'm done.
Hope you have a crafty day!

Outside the box

Here is a bottle cap that will become a clothespin as soon at it drys . This is for a swap I am in I hope my partner likes it!
I used bottle caps from hobby lobby spare parts, stampin up paper island indigo for the flowers which were embossed with dazzeling diamonds powder also from stampin up, the squares with bling in them are ribbon from michales , the tower is out of a bag of spare parts my son gave me, the black flower with feather is from the wedding section of hobby lobby, and the charm is from Tim holtz ,
Have a lovely day!

Inspiration playing cards

Here is my latest project. They are called inspiration cards, the purpose of them is to take you out side of your box and help you get inspired again when you hit that creative slump.
This is the first step, buy a deck of playing cards they can be what ever size you want, I used the standard size for mine as I will be swapping them with others.
The second step is grab your gesso and cover the front and back of the card this may take a few layers depending on what brand of gesso you use

The third step is embellish your card any way you like. I used silks acrylic paints , some alphabit stickers that were stashed away and some bling, I had to let my paint sit over night to dry after they dried I put my stickers and bling on them, next you want to seal them, I used collage Pauge glossy , which I picked up from joanns , I love this stuff I use it on everything !
Now I am waiting for them to dry again! So I can add my inspiration on the blank side of the card I'm so excited you can use these cards in your art journal , on scrap book pages or just about any way you like , I will post the final picture as soon as the drying has finished .
Have a crafty day!

The New Year

I am so excited for the year 2014, I see many things happening not only in my Mom, new wife , daughter life but in my crafting life. I am going to try and be more faithful to the crafting world weather its mixed medium art or card making even a little art journaling here and there. I am working on swaps and other fun things at the same time trying to recover from having My gallbladder removed. I am learning to color with Spectrum Nori markers and I love them. Please be on the look out for new projects and maybe even some tutorials ( if I can get my camera man through school LOL) showing you new ideas or even old ideas with a new twist. God Bless you and have a wonderful day Angela Ukonga
